Latest developments at The Eye
A move-in experience
26th November 2012
Like so many apartments at The Eye, Simon Cooper and Samantha Barnes’ two-bedroom 9th floor apartment enjoys spectacular views across the City. First time buyers Simon and Sam are amongst the first people to move in to The Eye. They explained to us why this landmark building caught their eye.
“Simon and I weren’t initially looking for a new build property but when we looked at the Eye we were taken by the quirky and sociable living area”.
Whilst they both know Bristol fairly well, Temple Quay was an area waiting to be discovered. “We chose to buy at the Eye mainly because of the central location and proximity to the train station, which still allows Simon to commute easily to work. The transport links are really important for work and because of this it makes weekend trips to family and friends so much easier”.
As first time buyers, Sam and Simon worked closely with The Eye’s sales executive Heather Murphy, who made sure the buying process ran smoothly, Sam said, “The team, especially Heather, were great in ensuring we were able to buy within our budget”. Heather has been involved with The Eye since the development launched in April, “Buying a first home is exciting and challenging in equal measures, Simon and Sam were focussed and organised, it was a pleasure to support them all the way through to completion”.
Buying the apartment was one aspect of the move; the apartment needed furnishing. “The show apartments have definitely offered some inspiration for decorating our flat as neither me or simon are particularly creative” said Sam. “Although our flat is still fairly empty, we have settled in well here and we are enjoying collecting furniture for it”. So the proximity to Cabot Circus for shopping is handy? “Simon might not agree”, said Sam.
